Hiking Madeira's Highest Mountain Peaks
This hiking footpath starts at Areeiro Peak (alt. 1810m) establishing a connection with Ruivo Peak (the highest in Madeira at 1862m).
The footpath at times feels like walking in the clouds due to the cloud formation at these altitudes.
Offers great views over Curral das Freiras (Also known as the Nun's Valley) and Ribeira da Fajã da Nogueira. After stoppage time at the Ruivo's shelter house and viewpoint the hike ends at Achada do Teixeira.
